Stampin’ Up! Storage and a FREE catalog

Hello Friends,

I am so excited about the new catalog beginning May 31 at noon!  I always look forward to using new product and creating with all the amazing things that come out in the crafting world.  One of the reasons I switched over from ‘Wood mount’ to ‘clear mount’ stamps was the fabulous cases which has made my stamp storage look so much more organized and makes finding a stamp set so much easier.   Starting May 31, we will be able to order stamp sets in wood mount but with the amazing new cases ! (HUGE SMILE)   Not only will you be able to use these for stamp storage but for many other ways to store your craftin’ goodies.

Oh Hello

Hello Friends,

Say goodbye to Baja Breeze who happens to be Early Espresso’s best friend (Smile)!

With news of the Color Refresh came the sadness knowing that Baja Breeze will be leaving us.  This was one of my very favorite colors so it really is a sad time for me.  I have LOVED using this color with many of my projects.  I loved using Early Espresso and Baja Breeze which is a great color combo……Alas, there is nothing I can do about it.  I am very pleased to see some of our previous ‘In Colors’ returning to the color palette.

I have  few birthday cards to share with you this week.  This one was given to me by my Supervisors at work.  (Great advantage of working at Stampin’ Up! – you receive beautiful cards.)  Inside there was a ‘gift card’ which was so appreciated.

I LOVE this card.  I love the color combo and the layout in general. I am going to use this layout for a card I have in mind…..stay tuned!

Pals Blog Hop – Celebrate Earth Day

Hello Friends,

Thank you for joining us for the April Pals Blog Hop! To celebrate Earth Day, the April blog hop  features new cards and projects that capture the essence of Earth Day through colors and images and/or use recycled or reused elements. We hope you are ready for some fun and creative ideas.

You should have just left stop number 22 on the Pals Hop – Susan Itell at Simple Stampin’.( Susan is a very talented stamper and I know you will have seen a great project  today.) If so, you are in the right spot.  If you get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

 Crumb Cake?  Can you ever get tired of Crumb Cake – I am talking about card stock here?  <grin>  Crumb Cake has to be one of my all time favorite Stampin’ Up! colors.

Did you know the ‘Lovely as a Tree’ stamp set is the longest ‘serving’ stamp set in the Stampin’ Up! catalog? I wonder if it will retire this year – or stick around?  I stamped the tree image on to the card stock using Crumb Cake Classic Ink.  Guess what? I took out my ‘Watercolor Wonder Crayons’. I used Garden Green and Crumb Cake crayons with blender pens.  I stamped the “hey there friend” sentiment from the My Paper Pumpkin Welcome Kit with Early Espresso Classic Ink Pad.  The cute heart in the tree was punched out of Cherry Cobbler card stock (another favorite of mine) using the small heart punch.

Finally – my favorite embellishment of all time — Ribbon.  I used a piece of Natural 7/16″ Trim (Spring Catalog) along with a small piece of Victoria Lace. I cut one of the flowers from the 5/8″ Flower Trim and adhered it with a glue dot.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the flower trim and am really hoping it will be in the new catalog starting in June.

I wanted to create a card that was simple and duplicatable. I think I got it!
